Just a few quick words about me. I was born and raised in South East Macomb County. My upbringing was centered around being respectful and helping others.
My dad spent 25 years as a Teamster truck driver, delivering appliances for GE. He worked extremely hard to provide a very good life for myself, my brother and our mother. Mom was able to stay home and be a full time mom. Once us boys were grown and gone she took a full time position with Comerica and retired after 20 years.
From a pretty young age I started developing the desire to become an officer. I started as a Reserve Police Officer in 1995. In 1998 that agency hired me full time as a certified Public Safety Officer (means we do Police and Fire). In a nut shell its like two jobs for the price of one. I would spend the next 21 years serving my community before retiring as a Sergeant. I feel that Law Enforcement is the greatest job in the world and I would do it all over again.
After I retired I spent a year as a High School Teacher, loved every minute I spent teaching, mentoring and getting to know my students (what a great group of young people I had the privilege to get to know). I decided to take my retirement "career" in a different direction so here I am focusing on this podcast.
